I was surprised by how much I enjoyed this book and how quickly I read
it. While I guessed the end of the book, the writing itself was superb.
As a southerner myself, I loved how the author used old Southern dialect
in her dialog scenes. It gave the book a sweet authenticity. It was
obviously a Christian book, but without the sermonizing found in some
Christian fiction. A heartwarming book, and well worth the read!
